ANDROID NOW OFFERS DIGITAL CAR KEYS IN THE S21 LINEUP AND GOOGLE PIXEL DEVICES

You might think to yourself that this is not new news at all and you'd be right as Apple released this technology and feature quite some time ago with select BMW models and it has proven to be highly used and useful as well regardless of all the controversy around privacy and security concerns.

However, that was just Apple who was doing it, now Android has finally caught up and offers digital car keys for some of their mobile devices that include the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup as well as the Google Pixel 6 lineup.

Currently, however, Android's and Apple's digital car keys only offer this feature to select BMW models that are compatible with digital car key support.

You might wonder about Tesla and how their customers can use their mobile devices to unlock and turn on their cars, but they use a completely different technology and the use of a mobile app.
