How well does the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 compare to real life?
The new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 snuck up on us a few months ago, and marks 14 years since the previous version. As you'd expect, the game developers have pushed the boundaries of what is possible with the ultimate flight simulator game in terms of realism, physics, weather and, of course, graphics.
Like all Microsoft Flight Simulators in the past, the game was actually designed to be slightly more than the average computer could handle at the time of its release, which means that, as computer technology advances, the game would remain relevant and exciting!
When Microsoft was advertising the new game prior to its launch, the snippets of gameplay footage were so impressive you could easily mistake it for being real life!
A YouTuber by the channel name, MajorTom 1990, uploaded a video which shows a side by side comparison of a landing in Los Angeles LAX between the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and real-life. They are so similar, you might have had trouble differentiating them if the video didn't tell you which was which!
