VIDEO: INTRODUCING THE NEW HUAWEI MATE 10
Following the launch of its Artificial Intelligence (AI) mobile chipset, the Kirin 970, at the IFA 2017, the release of the Huawei Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro has been eagerly awaited across the globe. As well as the smartphones highly advanced abilities, the smart system further improves the smartphones already impressive features, such as its Leica cameras. This is all configured within a sleek and sculpted form, adorning either midnight blue, titanium grey, pink gold, or mocha brown colours.
"The Huawei mate 10 series introduces the first mobile AI-specific neural network processing unit, launching a new era of intelligent smartphones," claims Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei consumer business group – and he is right.
Huawei's Kirin 970 octa-core processor – which is entirely made in-house – is more powerful and more efficient than previous generations. In fact, the chip provides 25 times more power and 50 times more energy efficiency than ever before. This means that the neural network processing unit delivers all actions in super fast speed, learning and predicting which applications will be activated and when.
Battery life is always a consumer's worst nightmare and one of those modern day problems. However, the phone's advanced AI technology aids the impressive performance of its 4,000 mAh high-density battery. Even with non-stop and high-intensity action, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro excels for 50 hours of life thanks to its smart battery management system that maximizes resources. It also enhances the world's first fast-charging technology power, up from 1% to 20% in 20 minutes, and from 1% to 60% in 30 minutes.
Huawei's intelligence system further benefits the camera set, enabling fast but pure image capturing, featuring the third generation of Leica-branded dual-lens camera, the Mate 10 Pro boasts a rear 12MP colour camera with optical zoom image stabilization, 20MP monochrome and an 8MP front-facing camera. Both with fast f/1.6 lenses, the cameras once again set a new standard for mobile image capturing. The AI processor also enables the boosting of details and light in colour.
