VIDEO: MULTIPLAYER VIRTUAL REALITY IS GOING MORE REALISTIC!
OptiTrack has a new sensor that promises natural animation in virtual spaces. The Multiplayer VR is imperfect, especially on a large scale. With large body tracking sensors, the VR experience tends to be quite limited and some animations tend to be jerky movements and OptiTrack hopes to fix that.
OptiTrack is launching body sensors that promise whole-body skeletal tracking in VR arcades and other multiplayer venues. The device will attach to your hands and feet and you should get accurate positional tracking that reflects more natural movements, such as aiming a weapon or peeking around a corner.
n the video below you can see more about the OptiTrack VR system and how it works. The CEO of OptiTrack – Jim Richardson – explains how the sensors and LED works to pick up your movement to give players a full-hands-on-experience!!
