VIDEO: TRANSFORMERS COME TO LIFE WITH SEGWAY'S LOOMO ROBOT
Seems like CES 2018 has showcased a lot of robots that will follow you around; first, there was the autonomous suitcase, and now there is Segway's Loomo. Previously presented in 2016 as an advanced personal robot, Segway robots has launched the Loomo robot which is a smart machine that transforms from a mini personal transporter into an intelligent robot.
The Loomo robot will soon be available and comes complete with Intel Real Sense cameras that enable depth-seeing, face recognition, and person tracking. The robot can follow you around and help you with your daily chores. You will be able to give it orders from anywhere in the room and its artificial intelligence will make sure it learns about you and what you would like it to do. The Loomo is also capable of taking pictures, do surveillance and joke around.
That is not all it can do. When you don't want your personal robot to be friendly, help you, or follow you around, you can use it as a hoverboard. That's right, it has a self-balancing base that provides a fun riding experience and can handle up to 100 kg. The Loomo runs on Android, providing six powerful services to build more skills into it.
