AGE OF EMPIRES IV – OFFICIAL GAMEPLAY FIRST LOOK

It's been 24 years (enter old lady's voice from the Titanic here) since we were first introduced to the Age of Empires title. This strategy game is, without a doubt, one of the most popular games to have ever been released.

A few weeks ago, Microsoft Games alongside Xbox Game Studios released an official trailer of Age of Empires IV, which gives us a great impression of how the game will look, with actual gameplay footage.

After you see the sample, you'll instantly see just how incredible the graphics are in comparison to Age of Empires III. As before, you start the game off in a very basic form. Previously, you would start off in the Stone age, now, in Age of Empires IV, you start off in what they now call the Dark Age. Then, you progress in time and technology into the Feudal Age, Castle Age and finally into the advanced Imperial Age. Here, you can build cathedrals, monuments and towers, and summon a deadly cavalry to abolish your enemy!

Age of Empires IV has not got a set release date, but it has been confirmed for the second half of 2021. It will be available on Windows, however, rumours suggest it might be released for the Xbox Series X and Series S as well.
