APPLE M1 IMAC 3.5MM HEADPHONE JACK NEW PLACEMENT EXPLAINED
Apple hosted their product event for early 2021, which they called the Apple Spring Loaded event, and they released a couple of brand new products and updates to their lineup. But, arguably, the most popular product launch of the event was the brand new generation of Apple iMac's, which now include the impressive Apple M1 silicon chip.
The new 2021 Apple iMac's will now feature a breathtaking 24" 4.5K resolution retina display, a new spatial audio system and powerful performance, and is also offered in a variety of fresh new colours.
One thing that seems rather odd is not necessarily where they have placed the new 3.5mm headphone input jack. It sits on the side of the 11.5mm thick display now, in order to compensate for its ultra-thin design. Rather, it's interesting that Apple decided to keep it at all... the new iMac is now the only Apple product available that has a headphone jack.
On top of that, Apple doesn't make any product that actually uses a 3.5mm input headphone jack!
Regardless of that, we're happy they included it anyway...
