APPLE'S MOST EXPENSIVE PICTURE BOOK – DESIGNED BY APPLE IN CALIFORNIA

Over the years, there have been thousands of books released on Apple, both as a company and as individuals like Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and even Jonathan Ive. But, Apple themselves also released a book that featured each and every Apple product, and their respective design components, from the 1990's right through to 2016.

A statement by the company says, "Designed By Apple In California chronicles 20 years of Apple design, through 450 photographs of our products and the processes used to make them. A visual history spanning iMac to Apple Pencil, this hardcover volume is both a testament and a tribute to the meticulous processes of design, engineering, and manufacturing that are singularly Apple".

Designed By Apple In California was sold as a hardcover, available in two sizes, small and large, that featured the same content. At the time of its release, the book was sold for $200 and $300 respectively.

The cover was made from a custom and exclusive linen sourced from Germany, while the pages were made from the finest materials, made exclusively for Apple, called Apple Specific Heaven 42.
