APPLE'S NEW DRAG AND DROP FEATURE IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL!
Apple has always taken user experience and design very seriously. Even in the latest updates revealed in their 2021 WWDC software release conference, we still see constant improvements to Apple's user interface that carry this trend forward.
Apple changed the way people share data between their devices with the introduction of Apple Airdrop back in 2011. This allowed users to easily share data over networks without the exclusive use of BlueTooth or Infrared communications.
Now, Apple has released yet another feature called Universal Control, which not only allows for wireless dual-screen usage but also across iPads, Macs and MacBooks. Furthermore, a user could simply drag and drop files from one device to another and also from one project to another.
For example, if you have Final Cut open on your MacBook, and need some footage that is on your iPhone or iPad, you could simply take your Magic Mouse cursor, move it over your mobile device, then drag and drop your footage directly into Final Cut!
