DO NOT FEAR, INSTAGRAM WON'T ALERT USERS WHEN YOU TAKE A SCREENSHOT

Earlier this week Instagram confirmed to Buzzfeed that it is no longer testing a feature that would have sent users a notification when someone took a screenshot of their story.

This is outstanding news for all the creepers out there. Instagram said in February, that it was testing this feature and that some users would receive a warning when they tried to screenshot something for the first time: "Next time you take a screenshot or screen recording, the person who posted the story will be able to see it."

Snapchat famously tells users if their content has been screenshotted, and it seemed like Instagram wanted to steal this functionality. It does come as a relief that the company decided against it. Of course, you are still able to see who has watched your story by swiping up.
