ELON MUSK GETS APPROVAL FOR NYC-DC HYPERLOOP

Elon Musk has announced that the Hyperloop will continue its spread across America and will now be able to travel from New York City to Washington DC in under 29 minutes. Elon Musk announced that he's secured "verbal government approval" – whatever that is – will allow that the Hyperloop will also stop in Baltimore and Philadelphia on route to NYC from DC.

The Hyperloop system would travel in a tunnel dug by Elon Musk's new Boring Company. The idea for the Hyperloop is essentially a specialised high-speed train and Musk wants the speed to go upwards of 750mph. To get the Hyperloop to travel that fast, the system is designed to seal a tunnel and pressurise the passenger/ cargo capsules ( you know so you can still breathe). Then without air resistance, the train uses magnets to accelerate riders well beyond the usual speed of sound.

All of this is still pretty up in the air and Musk has not broken ground yet; meaning no paperwork has been signed that we know of. Still, this is some exciting stuff and Musk is ambitious about the process of linking cities of the northeast and make it a reality!
