MAGNETIC STRIP REMOVED FROM APPLE CARDS

Apple Cards have been around for some time and has been largely popular in some states and was designed to primarily be used with Apple Pay on Apple devices such as the iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac.

However, Apple has upgraded their entire fleet of card machines at all their stores in the United States which now don't even require their customers to swipe their cards and as a result, Apple is now issuing new Cards that don't have a traditional credit card magnetic strip.

The new Apple Cards will still feature a chip to allow customers to pay with the Tap & Go feature as well as allowing them to insert their cards for larger purchases as an extra security precaution, but no future purchases will ever be made by swiping your card anymore.

This technology is not exclusive to Apple either, they just seem to be ahead of the game. It's just a matter of time until your normal bank cards will also lose their magnetic strips.
