SAD IPHONE 8 FEATURES APPLE IS REPORTEDLY STRUGGLING WITH...
If you have been following online rumours about the iPhone 8 that is yet to be revealed it seems that all is not well at Apple's iPhone division.
Reports over the past few weeks point to various features in the upcoming, OLED screened iPhone 8, or the iPhone Pro, or iPhone X or whatever the name will be. There are problems at the Apple iPhone division and it is issues causing setbacks for the Apple engineers and the list is getting longer.
A few days ago Apple-focused blogger John Gruber tweeted that he heard the wireless charging feature in the new iPhone 8 "might be late. Some online sources confirmed that the wireless charging is causing problems, but it is the software, not hardware. That could mean the iPhone 8 will hit the market wireless charging ready, let's hope the software comes right.
The best feature for the iPhone 8 is probably the Touch ID, but now it may not - or may - be located under the screen. There is still some time for Apple to perfect the technology, the iPhone 8 will just not be the iPhone without the promising Touch ID feature.
With the possible Touch ID issues, another feature is causing issues; the 3D scanning. Initially thought to be another way to do better biometrics ( and better selfies) some reports are pointing to the fact that the 3D scanning might replace the Touch ID altogether. Once again testing the 3D scanning features is causing problems for Apple, but it is with the software and not the hardware.
The OLED screen is even causing issues for the iPhone 8, there is a scarce supply of OLED panels and this means that only 3 million to 4 million iPhones will be ready for shipping in time. Even though Samsung has been shipping OLED screens for years now it is difficult to believe Apple won't be able to secure enough screens, but maybe the Touch ID feature needs a different OLED panel, which can be tougher to produce at volume.
So basically all the latest features Apple has in store is causing some sort of delay for the iPhone 8. Who knows, all these so called issues we are reading about online might be very wrong and it is just a way for Apple to get attention and the fact that we are getting closer to September, who knows what to believe?
