SAMSUNG TO DROP EXYNOS FOR SNAPDRAGON IN S22 LINEUP

In a recent report, Samsung may just be dropping the Exynos mobile chipset brand for Snapdragon in the new S22 lineup. The report had this to say:

"Ex-Samsung employee turned insider Super Roader alleged that Samsung may be ditching the Exynos 2200 in favour of the Snapdragon 898. Until now, Samsung has shipped its flagship phones with Exynos chips in all markets except the US and some other countries where it uses Snapdragon SoCs. Reportedly, the ongoing chip shortage is making it hard for Samsung to procure enough Exynos chips for the upcoming Galaxy S22 phones."

The change is not necessarily a decision made to gain performance or save on costs by the tech giant Samsung, but rather that of a way around the global chip shortage which is still affecting hundreds of industries globally. So in certain countries, the S22 lineup might just feature Snapdragon chips as opposed to those of Exynos.
