Spotify launches its podcast only subscription service.

Spotify has been labelled as one of the top music subscription services available alongside YouTube music and Apple Music. However, Spotify has always had an advantage as there is a free-to-use version. Although limited to some features and has ads, the statistics show that users still see tremendous value in their services.

As podcasts become increasingly more popular as an alternative to music and ebooks, Spotify has rivaled Apple Podcasts with a launched of their new paid podcast only subscription service.

Apple Podcasts is free on Apple Devices, whereby Spotify's podcasts will be paid for, but with good reason. Spotify Podcasts will offer a larger library of content straight off the line at it's launch, and will offer no ads during playback, unless there are ads within the podcast's generated by the creators themselves. And, on top of that, they will offer specific podcasts sooner than other podcast services as well.

Spotify Podcasts subscription service will be between $3 and $8 monthly depending on what package you opt for.
