THE NEW TESLA BOT - WHAT EXACTLY IS ITS PURPOSE?
Tesla just held its annual AI Day conference where they showcase the latest technologies and AI improvements the company is working on and what developments customers and investors can look forward to in the future. However, on the latest AI Day that took place on August the 19th 2021 in Palo Alto, CA, the United States, CEO Elon Musk released a concept of a humanoid robot which they call the Tesla Bot.
According to Elon Musk, the Tesla Bot will be able to perform complex, dangerous and even boring tasks that humans would otherwise have to do and the company is currently working on its development and expect a prototype model to be unveiled soon.
However, Elon Musk says that the humanoid shape is the most efficient way forward which we find rather interesting as every robot that has ever been put into mass production has not taken a humanoid shape due to its inefficiency. For example, robotic vacuum cleaners are not humanoid robots vacuuming your house, but rather automated vacuum cleaners.
