VIDEO: 9 METER-TALL GIANT ROBOTS, ONLY IN JAPAN

Every now and again, some impressive and giant robot appears from some little-known company somewhere in the world, but this one... well, this 9m-tall giant robot is available to rent! Introducing the LW-Mononofu Mecha (that is jargon for a large armoured robot; the sort you only see in movies or children's cartoons).

The LW-Mononofu freely manipulates walking, moving both arms, air gun launching, and waist swing while allowing users to check their surroundings with a monitor inside the cockpit. The 9 meter-tall robot is the product of Japanese company, Sakakibara Machinery Works, and weighs in at 7,399 Kg. The Mecha is the latest in their line of giant-robots, including a 2012 release of the Landwalker, a similarly large, but this time two-legged, Transformer-esque robot. They also released a child-friendly Mecha sometime after which is an armour-clad $20,000, 1.6-meter bot.

The LW-Mononofu is aimed at those who grew up watching Mobile Suit Gundam and is available to rent for events or to save the universe.

This Mecha is available to rent here. In the meantime, be sure to have a look at the other giant-robots that the company has in the video's below.
