VIDEO: GOOGLE PIXEL BUDS ARE HERE, THIS IS EVERYTHING YOU SHOULD KNOW...
Alongside the latests Pixel 2 smartphone, Google has unveiled its own brand of wireless earbuds. The Pixel Buds are primarily made for listening to music, podcasts and whatever else you listen to on your smartphone. However, the best part about the Pixel Buds is that it offers access to Google Assistant and the real-time translation of 40 foreign languages.
The Google-powered assistant can be accessed via your smartphone by one tap touch on the right headphone or via voice command. Your artificially intelligent helper then smartly runs the Google Translate app to translate the language you are unable to understand before playing out loud a translated version of your response.
Before you get too excited about the Google Translate functionality, the feature is only available on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL (for now at least).
The Pixel Buds are also capable of sending and reading texts, adjusting volume, playing or pausing music and giving map directions. Consumers will be able to purchase a choice of three colours – white, black and grey – which will be available next month and will cost $160. The Pixel Buds are compatible with Pixel and Android phones running version 7.0 nougat and higher.
