With a range of 99 miles on a single charge, the Smart Electric Drive offers all the convenience and enjoyment of a regular Smart, but with zero driving emissions. With the Smart Electric Drive producing zero driving emissions, you are doing your bit for the environment and making cities a cleaner and more pleasant place. 

In just 12 seconds the roof of the Smart Electric Drive opens and you can cruise almost silently through the city. The car is said to combine three smart models in one, making it possible to be an electric drive. It sports out 82 horsepower and delivers an optimised maximum speed of 130 km/h. With its re-energizing improving, the Smart Electric Drive takes 2.5 hours to charge from 0 to 80% and expected to take 45 minutes from 2018 with an even more powerful 22 kW fast charger.

The Smart Electric Drive has even more extensive standard equipment in comparison to previous models, including a shift lever knob, centre console with drawer and double cup. The small, yet spacious feeling cabin features a sweeping 'loop' that connects the dashboard with the doors.
