VIDEO: SUPER MARIO BROS. IN A BOX, USING CARDBOARD...
It sounds silly but, hey, anything is possible.
Gaming has come a long way since the day it first launched. In fact, gamers have also evolved to a point where some of them try to build their own gaming systems at home, no matter how crude.
We all know Super Mario Bros., it is an iconic game by Nintendo that revolutionized and resurected the then dying industry. Its popularity has spawned a series of sequels, becoming the best selling game of all time for a single platform.
YouTube channel Sata Production created a fun, and definitely unique new take on Super Mario Bros. There is a little surprise in this unassuming cardboard box: a physical side-scroller, a paper-based re-imagining of Nintendo classic Super Mario Bros. It is all powered by a small electric motor and a 9V battery. It also features some popsicle sticks, painters tape and a soda straw.
Using picture templates, cardboard boxes and simple electronic wiring, the dude who runs Sata Productions managed to build himself a Super Mario Bros. game, complete with a makeshift screen and a controller. And it actually works just like the game.
Have a look at the video below, and why not try and make your own? (I mean if you want to and have the time too!)
