VIDEO: THE ROBOT ARMY IS COMING...

Dancing robots are not a new thing. In July 2016, at the Qingdao Beer Festival, 1,007 robots from China showcased their choreographed dance routine and set the previous world record at the same time.

That world record has been broken by 1,069 synchronized machines, also from China, perfectly aligned and performing a flawless, jaw-dropping act. Set along a square in Guangzhou, Guangdong, the army of robots achieved this thanks to WL Intelligent Technology co. ltd, who were the ones in charge of the demonstration.

These adorable dancing robots go by the name of Dobi and were programmed via one group control system – almost like a remotely controlled app. The performance was almost perfect although some robots fell down during the dynamic show, the fallen robots were deducted from the final record total.

As well as having the ability to dance, these Dobi robots that measure 47.3cm in height and weigh 2.15 kg, are also extremely flexible. The Dobi robot can also talk, do tai-chi, sing and do many other human-like actions. Will a choreographed dance routine by robots be the end of humanity? We'll just have to wait and see!

Have a look at the video to see Dobi gets his groove on!
