VIDEO: THIS COMPANY WANTS YOU TO DITCH YOUR APPLE WATCH FOR THEIRS
Thanks to companies like Fitbit and Apple, wrist wearables have become almost as ubiquitous as smartphones. A Kickstarter campaign is now hoping you will ditch your fitness trackers and smartwatches to wear an HD wide-angle camera on your wrist instead.
Cleep is an Italian-designed wrist wearable with an embedded 150º 13MP camera, that snaps photos and videos whenever you want, no smartphone required.
Once you bring your arm to chest height, Cleep's camera switches on. You can then press the top button once to snap a picture or twice to record a nine-second video. If you hold down the button, you can record videos for as long as you like. The footage is automatically saved to the internal memory card and sent to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
Cleep also utilizes activity tracking to provide metrics like steps, miles travelled and calories burned in the app. The full campaign video can be viewed on the Kickstarter page, as for the video below, it will give you an idea of the moments you will be able to capture if you purchase a Cleep.
