Space battles, planetary destruction, a re-programmed imperial droid, the death star and digital humans are just some of the digital effects seen on Rouge One: a Star Wars story. created by visual effects team Industrial Light and Magic. The Star Wars movie featured over 1750 shots made by hundreds of artists, scientists and engineers around the world. Now, the computer animation experts have released a video that takes you into a behind-the-scenes look.
This is not the first time Industrial Light and Magic has released a video showcasing how they create the magic seen on screen. Earlier this year they unveiled the visual effects work behind the Destruction of Kesha and the Battle of the beaches of Scarif in the same movie. With the second itineration, the company gave us the generalized look, not only into some specific scenes but into the many different types of animation they had to do to create the finalized movie!
