WHY APPLE HASN'T MADE A SMART TV

Apple is a tech company whose products are at the forefront of their respective markets such as the iPhone, iMac, and Macbook. Even their software offerings are second to none, but that begs the question, why hasn't Apple made a smart TV yet?

As it stands, Apple is interested in developing products that have a short replacement period, meaning, customers prefer to upgrade their current devices for a new one in a relatively short period of time. However, TV's have an incredibly long replacement period which hovers around seven to ten years and this is quite frankly not worthwhile to Apple.

Furthermore, the average Smart TV, regardless of which brand, are all borderline visually identical with the exception of the stand itself. Apple will then have to invest far more into a TV design to really make it that much different over and above their software and user interface which will cost significantly more to produce.
