WORLDS FASTEST INTERNET: 1.6 TERABITS PER SECOND
What is the fastest internet? Would you believe it reaches 1.6 Terabits per second...
One of the biggest tech trends in 2020 is the release of 5G, which speed is so mind-blowingly fast in comparison to other internet networks such as 4G and a fibre line connection. The 5G network averages out at 10 Gigabits per second in ideal situations, like being really close to a 5G transmitter with a 5G enabled device.
Tech mobile company, Com Hem, is a Swedish company specialising in cable television, fixed-line telephones as well as broadband internet services. During the DreamHack tech event, which is the world's largest digital festival, Com Hem set a Guinness World Record title where they supplied a broadband connection that reached an incredible 1.6 Terabits per second, which was the fastest internet-connected ever recorded. Over 6,000 people connected to this network at the same time, and all managed to stream HD simultaneously, which was a breakthrough in internet technology. To put it into perspective, you would be able to download the PubG mobile game, which is around 2 Gigabites, in around 0.2 seconds!
