APPLE RELEASES MAGSAFE BATTERY PACK FOR IPHONE 12

Apple has launched an official MagSafe Battery Pack for the iPhone 12 lineup. It connects via embedded magnets at the back of the iPhone, which can deliver additional battery charges on the go.

The product is rather slim and fits comfortably both at the back of the iPhone and in the user's hand. It will be compatible with all iPhone 12 variants aside from the iPhone 12 Pro Max as it already has it built-in.

There is a downside though that has been debated in various tech-related articles. That is the new MagSafe Battery Pack's capacity, which is rated at just 1460 mAh. To put that into perspective, one of the cheapest generic battery packs you can buy is around 4,000 mAh.

But this is Apple and, to them, efficiency is more valued than capacity. There is a known problem with battery packs, which is that high capacity versions block radio waves and internet connectivity signals. According to Apple, the MagSafe is designed to boost a users iPhone battery and not be on par with the internal battery.
