The Counter Strike game series began way back in 1999 when the first game was released for Windows computers only. Some 20 years later, and it is still one of the most popular first person shooter games in the world.

Counter Strike, even today with the latest version – Counter Strike Global Offensive, is an incredibly simple game, with practically no storyline what so ever. A player gets to choose whether they want to play as terrorists or counter-terrorists. The game then connects to other players worldwide, or regional depending on your settings preferences, and after a couple of seconds, you're ready to play.

Terrorists defend their bombsites or hostages, while the counter terrorist team attempts to free the hostages or defuse the bombs. In the meantime, however, a bloody deathmatch between the two teams takes place. Counter Strike duals usually take place over a few minutes at a time, and usually around a total of 15 duals determines the winning team.

Although it is quite a simple online game in comparison to other first person shooter titles, Counter Strike still requires a tremendous amount of skill to master!
