FACEBOOK IS LAUNCHING INSTAGRAM KIDS
Due to the outrageous safety concerns of Instagram, Facebook is now in the development of Instagram Kids, which will cater for youngsters who are under the age of 13.
Most kids who are on Instagram now, will not admit to their parents that you have to be at least 13-years-of-age in order to make use of their social media platform. But Facebook doesn't want you to worry anymore, as there will be a version of Instagram rolling out which is catered for kids under the age of 13.
Instagram Kids was based on the foundation of kids lying about their age in order to get onto the main version of Instagram. Unfortunately, they are then subjected to vast amounts of data collection and potentially age-inappropriate content. Not much can or has been done to further combat this, besides parents banning their kids from being on social media. But, in such a modern age, it's hard to prevent it in its entirety.
So, the next best thing, according to Facebook, would be to develop a whole new version of Instagram dedicated to users under the age of 13.
