FACEBOOK & RAY-BAN TEAM UP TO BUILD SMART GLASSES

If you have used any form of social media in the last month you have probably spotted an advert with Mark Zuckerberg wearing a pair of black Ray-Ban sunglasses with two tiny cameras on each side.

Facebook has teamed up with the sunglasses manufacturer Ray-Ban to produce an incredible pair of smart glasses that feature built-in cameras which they call the Ray-Ban Stories.

On either side of the front frame, you'll find 2 cameras that capture video and photos at a 1:1 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1184 x 1184 while recording at 30 frames per second, which presumably is along the lines of Facebooks prefered format and codec.

You will also be able to switch between video and photo mode by using the first time ever used Facebook voice assistant. Photo mode will give you a 5-megapixel image also with a 1:1 aspect ratio which is perfect for Instagram use, and it also has a built-in photo burst mode of 30 seconds.

Currently, you can expect to pay around $299 for a pair of Ray-Ban Stories.
