INSTAGRAM STORIES CRUSHES SNAPCHAT WITH 250 MILLION DAILY USERS!!
About a year ago Instagram Stories did not exist and now Instagram Stories is at 250 million daily active users, passing Snapchat's rate according to Facebook's global head of sales Carolyn Everson.
A third of the most viewed stories are businesses using Instagram Stories and one million are advertisers. Instagram added stories back in August 2016, which allows users to post disappearing stories for a 24-hour period, very similar to Snapchat's capabilities. By January 2017 the feature had 150 million daily active users.
Instagram Stories first reported passing Snapchat in April, when it announced it had 200 million daily active users. Snapchat's platform has 166 million daily active users during its last earnings report in May.
Regardless the criticism for copying Snapchat's feature, Facebook-owned Instagram's Stories feature is evidently getting more popular by the day and is definitely something that will spread to a lot of different platforms.
