VIDEO: ARYZON IS THE 3D AR HEADSET FOR EVERY SMARTPHONE

Back in 2014, Google changed how accessible VR was, turning it from the rare premium Oculus to something everybody could use and enjoy. Known as the Cardboard of AR, this neat gadget is an affordable, out-of-the-box Augmented Reality headset.

Using a periscope arrangement of two-way mirrors, the Aryzon 3D AR Smartphone Headset can superimpose 3D objects over your reality, just the way that Magic Leap does, but Aryzon lets you place your phone into a Cardboard-esque headset. The fusion of the sensor data and your camera allows the software of the Aryzon app to perceive and track your surroundings. The camera of your smartphone will recognize and track the provided radial target image, creating a link between the holographic image and the target image.

The cardboard design helps keep the price low, and it has a Do-It-Yourself style of unique AR headset that also allows it to arrive straight through your letterbox, keeping those annoying shipping costs to a minimum.

The Aryzon app also helps create an introduction to augmented reality, showcasing some of the AR experiences the company has built during the development period and those built over the next few months prior to shipping. Anyone with an Android or iOS smartphone can use the Aryzon! Have a look at the gadget in action below.
