VIDEO: INTRODUCING THE IPHONE X THE '$1000 EMOJI MACHINE'

Everytime a new and expensive gadget launches, it is best to head over to YouTube for a fresh wave of parody videos roasting the latest device. After Apple's latest announcement, Jackfilms decided to make a video with the title "iPhone X (parody)", which does hint at the eviscerating humour to come.

The video starts with a tribute to Steve Jobs and then quickly cuts to the face-controlled animated emoji part of the show, which was probably the silliest moment from the whole shindig (let's not mention the fact that the FaceID also failed to pull through at the event).

The Jacksfilms voice-over renames the smartphone the "iPhone Xmoji" and says it comes in two new colours: "You can't" and "Afford it."

The parody quickly takes a detour to the dark side when it cheerily tells you how the Face ID technology sucks out your soul like a Dementor from Harry Potter. And, yes, there's a "Game of Thrones" Faceless Men reference to cheer you up.

Have a look at the video below to keep the laughter going, totally worth it.
