WHY RED APPLE IPHONES SAY 'PRODUCT' ON THE BACK UNLIKE OTHER IPHONES

Since the iPhone 7, Apple made some exclusive editions that were available in bold colours such as red. But those of you who have owned them before might have noticed that each of those red iPhones has the word 'Product' written at the back, but why exactly is that so?

Well, it all started back in 2006 when the activist Bobby Shriver and Singer Bono started a charity called Product Red that set out to support 8 African countries suffering from the Aids epidemic. A number of companies hopped onboard this good cause including Apple. Each product that is labelled 'Product' in Apple and Beats lineup and sold in that vibrant red colour donates around $10 to this cause. Apple alone has raised around $270 Million towards Product Red.

Each of these products is labelled with the word 'Product' so customers who buy them know that they have contributed to this specific charity.
