2024 - WHY THE MOON?
Although we feel this news should be far more international and widespread, it is confirmed that humans will return to the moon by 2024 which we are most definitely capable of doing so, but it's not a matter of whether we can pull it off again or not, but rather a question of purpose.
Back in the late 1960s, NASA managed to put the first human on the moon, and although this was a huge scientific breakthrough, the reasons for sending them there in the first place was rather political.
This time, however, it will be for a far more globally recognised cause that will bring countries closer together to work on common goals, sharing scientific knowledge and inspiring a future generation.
Unfortunately however, to some, the more attention-grabbing question is not a matter of why NASA has decided to return humans to the lunar surface, but rather if the astronauts who are going there in a few years time will see an American flag with some footprints surrounding it in the fine moon dust.
