The brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G is the fastest Android phone ever.
Qualcomm have released their first device ever to be running on their brand new Snapdragon 888 5G chipset. Although the phone isn't really a looker, it's a device to show off the capabilities of the chip to other Android-based phone manufacturers.
The Snapdragon 888 5G by Qualcomm will feature 25% more processing power in the CPU and 35% better GPU compared to current 2020 flagship Android smartphones. Furthermore, the Snapdragon 888 chip will be the first time future-generation phones will make use of variable rate shading, which is what you'll find in Sony's Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X from Microsoft. This means that future phones that use the Snapdragon 888 chip will experience ultra-smooth video and gaming framerates.
Android mobile phones have been making use of Snapdragon chips for the last decade and the brand has a solid foundation in the industry already. We can comfortably expect new phones coming out within the next few months to feature this impressive Snapdragon 888 chip.
