GOODBYE MICROSOFT PAINT, HELLO 3D PAINT!!

Microsoft is set to remove the classic paint app from Windows 10 this fall. While the old paint is going away forever, Windows 10 users will have Paint 3D at their disposal, as a replacement. Microsoft launched Paint 3D in April this year and the app provides a hybrid between the classic paint app and a 3D editing software, albeit only the basic 3D editing features are supported.

Microsoft's classic 3D Builder app will also get the axe as part of Paint's 3D promotion to the limelight. Windows has been around since 1985 when Microsoft released Windows 1.0 into the world and residing on Windows 1.0 was a little program called Microsoft Paint. It has been helping people draw terrible digital art ever since, but the end is now nigh. Or so it would seem…

We suspect that Paint will remain a part of Windows 10 for some time to come. Mainly because Microsoft would face a massive backlash from Paint fans if it removed it completely. However, this is the beginning of the end of a program most of us have used at least once, so we advise you to make the most of Paint while you still can.
