HOW TO USE SELECTION TOOLS IN PHOTOSHOP CC
Photoshop is one of the most famous computer programs in the world, so well-known that its name: "Photoshop" is now officially a word in the English dictionary.
However, as wonderful as basic Photoshop and picture editing may be, the one thing that will separate you from the rest is your understanding of selection tools.
Say for example you would to apply an adjustment such as brightness, colour or contrast to a very specific part of an image and not have the entire image affected then you would use a selection tool. A selection tool essentially allows the user to "tell" Photoshop where in the image to apply the following adjustments.
Once you are done with using your selection you can either remove them and carry on with further photo manipulation, or repeat the selection tool adjustments to another part of your image.
The most common selection tools in Photoshop are:
- Elliptical Marquee Tool
- Rectangular Marquee Tool
- Lasso Tool
- Poliganoal Lasso Tool
- Magnetic Lasso Tool
- Quick Selection Tool
- Magic Wand Tool
