JAPAN SHOWCASES FIRST LICKABLE TV SCREEN PROTOTYPE

Now, we know what you must be thinking, this must be the worst idea to arise in the midst of a global pandemic, and yes, this will be a public TV!

But wait, hear us out...

The idea around this lickable TV screen is to allow people to get a taste of their food on a digital menu before buying it, plus, you can also get a taste of the right wine for the food you're about to order as well before buying it!

So how does it work? Well, there will be an iPad sized screen in front of you where you can preview the menu, and if you'd like a taste, there is a nozzle that will spray out a very accurate flavour onto the display where you can lick it up and decide if that meal is right for you! However, what about the 'gross' factor? Each time the display is used, the outermost layer will retract and be sanitised and a freshly cleaned layer will be overlayed ready for the next user.
