NASA'S PARKER SOLAR PROBE TOUCHES THE SUN - WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR SCIENCE?

The latest breaking news about science and technology is NASA's Parker Solar Probe that launched back in 2018 and has been on a steady mission to the closest star to the Earth, our Sun and now has officially arrived and has penetrated the suns corona.


This mission was set out to gain more insight into the suns corona, or outermost layer, as well as to help scientists understand solar winds that have the capacity to inflict considerable amounts of damage to our satellites. In order to prevent this in future satellites, we have to first understand what causes these solar effects which are where NASA's Parker Solar Probe comes in.
