NEW PHOTOSHOP TOOLS FOR HAIR SELECTIONS

Making accurate and realistic looking hair selections and masks inside Adobe Photoshop is no easy task, in fact, it has been said to be one of the hardest subjects to select as your automatic modes are usually not good enough or accurate enough to make a good selection by themselves and these tools include the Magic Want Tool and the trusty Quick Selection Tool.

Previously, you would have to make use of a bunch of complicated channel separation methods with the image's alpha channels and then apply some threshold to separate the fine strands of hair from its background and then make a selection and further refine that selection.

However, in newer versions of Adobe Photoshop, you will now find some fantastic tools that will help you make the perfect hair selection regardless of the amount of texture and what colour the background of the image might be.
