SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G9 – ULTIMATE GAMING MONITOR

Take a look at all the specs of the impressive curved Samsung Odyssey G9, which is the ultimate gaming monitor.

Monitors for gaming is quite a personal choice in terms of what the gamer prefers, whether it is the size or even whether the screen is curved or flat.

However, curved TV's have been slowly declining in popularity, largely due to a slight restriction in a watchable angle of view, but Samsung has launched what they call the ultimate gaming monitor, which is still curved but there is a good reason for this.
A curved monitor has one main purpose, and that is if you are seated adjacent to the screen your eyes don't have to refocus from the left to the right side of the screen as the distance remains the same on both sides. But when it comes to TV's, you are not always viewing from the middle point.

But PC gaming monitors are a different story as you are usually viewing from the centre point of the display.

The Samsung Odyssey G9 has a panoramic aspect ratio of 32:9 and an ultra high resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels, which equates to two 4K 27 inch monitors side by side in one massive screen. What also makes the Samsung Odyssey G9 the perfect monitor for gaming is its impressive 240 Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, Samsung has teamed up with graphics card manufacturer company NVIDIA to produce this display which supports a 2500:1 static contrast ratio, an impressive 420 cd/m² brightness rating, as well as support for 1.07 billion colours.

The Samsung Odyssey G9 has also received a clean and futuristic design which, cleverly, has a headphone stand at the back of its support stand as well as a removable cover that tucks and hides all your cables neatly.
