SAMSUNG'S NEW TV REMOTE USES RADIO WAVES FROM YOUR WIFI ROUTER TO STAY CHARGED

Back in the day, the kids in the house were used as the TV remote by their parents who summoned them to change the channel, adjust the ariel or work the volume knobs, but then a few decades later the humble TV remote was introduced and was without a gamechanger, but throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, as great as TV remotes were, they had a major problem, that of requiring batteries.

That didn't seem like the faintest frustration at the time as a TV remote control was so much more convenient than having to get up and adjust the control on the TV.

In later years, you can even adjust your TV with voice control, or smartphone but that has never overruled the humble TV remote.

Samsung has now developed a brand new TV remote that has the ability to get its power source from a combination of solar power and harvesting energy from the radio waves from your WiFi router.
