SONY UNLOCKS STORAGE UPGRADES FOR PS5 WITH BETA UPDATE

At the end of 2020, Sony released the stunning and highly anticipated PS5, although they suffered from keeping up with demand, it is safe to say that they have overcome that slight snag and you can now simply waltz into your local electronics store and pick one up!

A couple of months later, Sony set live their PlayStation 5 System Software Beta Program which allowed users to sign up, scroll through and accept tens of thousands of terms and conditions, and then gain free access to features that haven't officially been made available as a standard update such as Trophy Tracking, 3D Audio for TV speakers as well as a couple of changes to the PlayStation library, to name but a few...

But there is another feature that has created a bit of a stir in the console gaming world, and that is Sony's new ability to upgrade the internal storage in the PS5 which currently is a DIY job together with some beta software.

But what get's most people is not the fact that it is available for free, but rather just how intricate and difficult the task is!
