Here are some of the 116 images that are on the Voyager 1 spacecraft, which is the furthest man-made object from the Earth.
The Voyager 1 spacecraft is nothing new to modern-day science and technology. However, since it was launched in 1977, it is likely to remain the only spacecraft that is designed to be found by possible intelligent extraterrestrial life.
On the Voyager 1 and 2 spacecrafts sit a gold-plated audio-visual disc that works like a record. It has all the right components and basic visual instructions of how to install and play them should the spacecraft ever be found by intelligent life from other interstellar species. Among a variety of sounds from Earth, the disc carries 116 photos of the Earth and its lifeforms, which range from the anatomy of the human being and our place on the Earth. It also should a variety of images of the Earth's landscapes, houses and buildings, animals as well as depictions of the history of the Earth's 4.5 Billion-year-old life.
