VIDEO: FENDER'S SPEAKERS ADD BLUETOOTH TO THE CLASSIC AMP DESIGN!

Fender has announced the introduction of two new Bluetooth-streaming speakers, the Newport and the Monterey. Not only are they Bluetooth speakers, but they essentially mark the debut of Fender in the Bluetooth-streaming speaker market. The speaker adopts the iconic look and feel of Fender's amplifiers, some of the Fender design aspects include metal grilled, custom grille cloths and guitar amp-style volume knobs.

The Newport design is more portable and is equipped with a battery that is rated to offer up to 12 hours of usage before needing to be charged and boasts a total of 30-watts provided with two full-range drivers along with a dedicated tweeter. The Newport also comes with a number of software enhancements and features, such as support for apt-X and Advanced Audio Coding (AAC), among other things; like a 3.5 mm jack port for a direct device connecting as well as USB ports which have the ability to charge devices such as a smartphone.

The Monterey is all about the sound, which is evident by some of the clear difference between it and the Newport. This Fender design is not for on-the-go, but instead, it is designed to be connected to a power supply and in return for that the Monterey comes equipped with a significantly higher 120-watt output! It comes courtesy of two 5.12-inch woofers along with a 1-inch dedicated tweeter; allowing the speaker to provide a much cleaner, louder and clearer audio output.

The Fender speakers are available to buy from a number of retailers as well as directly from Fender online. The Newport comes in at $199.99 and the Monterey with the additional power features and functionality comes in at $349.99.
