VIDEO: FURBIES ARE CREEPY, BUT THIS FURBY-ORGAN IS CREEPIER

The thing of nightmares, as a kid at least, came in the form of Furby dolls. Those wide-eyed fury balls staring into nothingness and singing some random tune to you, yeah no thanks!

His subscriber list is spiking, his record for most-views-in-one-video has been demolished. After years of dreaming, musician, hacker and inventor, Sam Battle, has done it. His YouTube channel Look Mum No Computer, took it a bit further and designed a playable Furby organ. It features 44 singing Furbies (plus one smartly-dressed conductor-Furby)

As sensational and trending as this is, the entire project is worth serious commending in regards to technical execution. Not only would you have to be a gifted hacker to reconfigure 44 Furbies to respond with different pitches and keys – you would need to time and the capital to risk doing so. Battle spent years dreaming of the Furby organ, trolling eBay and sourcing material he'd need to create such a horrific symphony of 44 furry dreamboats.

Despite the fact that no one wanted a freaky-Furby-organ, Battle brought to life anyway. If synthesizer-bicycles and DIY audio oscillators are your niche, the Look Mum No Computer may be worth subscribing to. Who knows, maybe one day he will give the world an entire Furby choir.
