VIDEO: GOOGLE'S ODDLY FUN WHITEBOARD - THE JAMBOARD

In the modern world of working, things have changed from being personal to technologically interactive. Communication with co-workers mostly happens online, even if they are sitting in the same office.

Google has decided to take a step into the physical world with the Jamboard. This is a digital, internet-connected "whiteboard" that looks like a blown-up children's tablet!

The Jamboard is already known as being fun, and a useful way to work with co-workers who can't be there in person.

Similar to a normal whiteboard, you walk up to the Jamboard, pick up a pen, and start writing. But that is probably the only similarity. The Jamboard is a 55-inch 4K screen, and everything written on one Jamboard can be mirrored to multiple devices for other co-workers to see and experience. They can also contribute live!

The Jamboard isn't only revered for its handwriting recognition, which allows the writer's words to be transformed into typed, digital words. The Jamboard also allows for scribbles, sketches, emojis, stickers, photos and even website articles. Essentially, the Jamboard consists of collages.

This is the perfect tool for office brainstorming, where employees can easily add their thoughts to the page for their co-workers to see. In addition, remote co-workers are able to view the presentation on the web and add their own thoughts, using the app and a built-in webcam.

Google is already brainstorming updates and new features for the app.

The Jamboard's simplicity is what separates it from its Microsoft challenger (the Surface Hub). In addition, the price makes a difference - the Surface Hub is more expensive than the Jamboard. Also, the Jamboard is unique in that it can run on one single app.

The Jamboard provides the opportunity to get rid of difficult video conferencing.

Sales of the Jamboard have begun in the US.
