VIDEO: THE VEEMO, SOLAR POWERED E-BIKE IS DESIGNED TO REDUCE CITY TRAFFIC!
The Veemo is an incredible fully enclosed electric bicycle, with an 80 Watt solar panel on the roof to charge the battery while you drive around town. The Veemo was designed by VeloMetro to be a shareable vehicle in Vancouver and eventually cities around the word.
The idea behind the Veemo is that people can rent these e-bikes and use them as an extension of the public transportation system in a given city. The e-bike makes it possible for people with different fitness levels to use the bike and get around town without breaking a sweat or getting wet when it rains.
The e-bike can go up to 30 km/h and the battery of the Veemo gives a range of 100km. The Veemo has a positive impact on the world, which means fewer cars on the road, less noise and air pollution, more space for bike lanes and a healthier population. Veemo even has shocks, power windows and locks and space behind the seat for groceries or luggage! In the video Kody Baker, from VeloMetro, explains how the Veemo (Velomobiles) will help cities make a modal shift towards getting people out of a single occupant car and into active transportation, be sure to check it out!
