VIDEO: TOP TEN NEW GAMES OF MAY 2017

Itching for something new to jam? This list is just for you incase you missed this month's new releases.

First up is Resevoir Dogs, with it's top-down style of gameplay and the ability to alter the nature of certain scenes, it looks like the developers have put some thought into it. 

Next up is Farpoint, a first-person sci-fi shooter for the PS VR. Lot's of cool gameplay that shows some real promise in terms of utilising the VR to more of it's ability.

Then there's the first-person-psychological-thriller-puzzle style game called Get Even. Basically you're a private investigator who has to save a girl but things quickly escalate and not everything is as it appears. Terrific visuals and a great premise make this one to look out for.

The critically acclaimed series of Fire Emblem Echos finally releases a game to the West called Shadows of Valencia. This is essentially a remake of a 1993 release called Gaidan and, for those new to the series it's bit of a history lesson and those in the know will enjoy the re-imagined world and characters.

Followers of Dark Souls can look forward to the The Surge. Set in a sci-fi world of robots enemies and, as you progress, you pick up bit's and bobs of tech which you attach to yourself and become 'a bit of an Iron Man badass'. Looks good!

Strafe is a nod to the 90's style of first-person shooter. It's fast and fun and will introduce the youngsters in the audience to where this style of game originated and send the older gamers down memory lane.

Injustice 2 is a DC release and has kicked up the graphics substantially. The original was a blast and this looks to be even more satisfyling with new characters and a host of new features including being able to upgrade armour and weapons. 

After a long time since it's KickStarter campaign, Friday the 13th: The Game id finally here. You can play either as one of the victums or as Jason himself, choosing different skins of his appearance that each has it's own strengths and weaknesses. It honours the movies it's based around and will please those who enjoy the gore and violence associated with them.

Rime is a third-person adventure puzzle about a young boy who's trying to escape a cursed island. With Salvador Dali inspired artwork and gated overworld maps this unspoken story looks unique and has been anticipated for a while. It should keep you entertained for hours.

Last on the list is Prey and follwos the story of a scientist on a space-station and is the spiritual successor to the legendary System Shock. It's a first-person shooter loaded with radical graphics and sweet innovative gameplay. It's definitely one to sink your teeth into.
