WHY WIRELESS CHARGING IS A TERRIBLE IDEA
Take a look at some points that bring up why wireless mobile phone charging is not as efficient as you might think.
Battery technology has stagnated for quite some time especially in mobile devices such as smartphones, but with each new model coming out the device requires more and more battery capacity and the biggest letdown and downside to such devices is, in fact, the charging time.
Furthermore, you have to keep a wall plug socket available as well as a USB charging cable handy for you to charge up your phone for a few hours. But recently, wireless charging has become more available and proved to be more convenient. Or at least that is what we think.
The problem lies in the efficiency of wireless charges in comparison to the more traditional charger cable method. Even more so, you cant simply place your phone down on a wireless charger and expect it to charge well, you have to make sure it's lined up perfectly on its contact points. The outcome of wireless chargers is that it takes far longer to receive a full charge in comparison to just using a simple cable. Furthermore, if you want to use your device while on charge...well, you cant with wireless charging.
